Bistro

Sourdough wood fired pizza, pasta and locally farmed produce.

bistro

The Bistro has it’s own kitchen garden, orchard, olive grove and vineyard which provide the produce for the food served. Food is freshly made and there is a wood fired oven producing meals. Homemade sourdough is used extensively to prepare pizza bases and breads. There are sharing plates and Bistro specials to suit the seasons with the gourmet sourdough pizzas the mainstay of the bistro cuisine.

Winery

Organic/Biodynamic vineyard and winery.

winery

You will find the Organic/Biodynamic Hotham Ridge Winery in the Hotham Valley in Western Australia, about one and half hours south east of Perth, on the Wandering-Pingelly Road. The Organic/Biodynamic vineyard and winery of Hotham Ridge was established in 1988 and the first wines were made in the early 1990's.
The state-of-the-art winery was built in 1993 and after several changes of ownership the present owners bought the vineyard and winery in 2002 and immediately began to convert the vineyard and winery to organic and biodynamic practices.
Situated at an altitude of 350 metres, Hotham Ridge enjoys ideal growing conditions – hot summer days, cool nights and cold winters. These ideal growing conditions show up clearly in the wines, which combine elegance, structure with vibrant fruit characters.
Our emblem is the Magpie – a quintessential sight and sound in our part of the world.

The Wines

All Hotham Ridge wines are single vinyard wines, with all the grapes grown and processed on the property. The aroma and flavours of the wines therefor reflect the unique terroir of Hotham Ridge.
The grape varieties grown are, Chenin Blanc, Semillon, Riesling, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Shiraz, Tempranillo and Zinfandel.
Hotham Ridge has won over 30 different medals and 11 trophies from various Australian wine shows since 2003. In fact most of the wines released from Hotham Ridge Winery have received a medal, and that includes several wines made under contract for other grape growers.
